How to Complete Your Draft/Outline of Your PowerPoint Project

This step involves planning your PowerPoint presentation before creating the actual slides. Think of it as your blueprint it shows what you will include and how your ideas will be organized.

Heres what to do:

1. Choose your topic (Drug of choice) Drug of choice is Sertraline (Zoloft).

Decide what your presentation will be about (approved drug of choice), and start your research on the drug.

2. Create a Basic Structure

Outline your headings just the main ideas, not the full text. A simple structure looks like this:

1. Title page/slide Your name, topic, and date.
2. Introduction Briefly explain what your presentation will cover and why its important.
3. Main Points (Bullet points or slides) The key ideas or sections of your topic.

• For each main point, list the evidence, examples, or visuals you plan to include.

1. Conclusion Summarize your main points.
2. References Cite the source of your information using APA 7 format.

3. You can create this in a PowerPoint slide or a Word document (Bullet Points)

Write short bullet points about:

• What you plan to say on that slide
• What images, graphs, or visuals you might include

4. Keep It Simple

You dont need to design the actual PowerPoint yet this is just your draft plan. Those who submit their completed/finished PowerPoint presentation would have grades deducted because that is not the instructions given for this assignment.

What I want to see:

• Have a clear structure.
• Bullet point information (brief summary with main ideas and not full texts).
• Know what information youll include in your final Presentation.
• Understand the flow of your presentation

For this week you will present a voiceover Powerpoint presentation (with the video on) on your drug of choice. You are to be dressed in office attire. The purpose of the presentation is for you to educate your colleagues on the drug you have selected. The presentation must include information about the:

• Drug pharmacology, pharmacokinetics
• Brand name
• Generic name
• Dosing
• Indications for use
• Side effects
• Contraindications
• Pregnancy class
• You must also perform a cost analysis of the drug.
• Provide a patient case study on a patient in which you would utilize the drug you have selected and include at least two peer-reviewed evidence-based studies related to the drug.
• Describe the appropriate patient education.
• What is your role as a Nurse Practitioner for prescribing this medication to this patient on your case study presentation?
• Describe the monitoring and follow-up.

Submission Instructions:

• Voiceover Presentation is original work and logically organized in current APA style including citation of references.
• Incorporate a minimum of 4 current (published within last five years) scholarly journal articles within your work.
• PowerPoint presentation with 10-15 slides, excluding the title slide and the reference slide.
