1) If you were thinking about your role as a teacher and the parents/guardians/families you work with, What are some of the reasons why the relationship between a parent/guardian/family and teacher are so important ? And what different strategies and/or ways could you utilize throughout the school year to help nurture this most important relationship ? 2) Many of us live in culturally diverse neighborhoods and see similar diversity in schools. With that in mind, what are some of the reasons why teachers need to acknowledge diverse student cultures and include diverse student cultures into Curriculum and/or Instruction ? And in what ways could you include it into Curriculum and/or Instruction 3) If you were thinking about your role as a teacher and the parents/guardians/families you work with, what are some of things you would consider implementing to make your parent-teacher conference as meaningful and productive as possible ? And what challenges might you face that could impede you from such a meaningful and productive parent-teacher conference? ( You can look at this from multiple perspectives- School, your skills in this area, and how the family might impact on how productive the meeting might be. 4) When you see Special Needs Families in your neighborhood what thoughts come to mind regarding the many unique challenges that they face ? And in what ways could you possibly help them overcome these challenges ?
