Instructions:

Write a 35-page paper (excluding title page and references) in which you design an EI development program for nurse leaders and teams. Your paper should include the following sections:

1. Introduction to EI in Nursing Leadership

Provide a brief overview of the importance of EI in healthcare leadership.

Describe Golemans four EI domains (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship management) and key competencies within each.

1. Needs Assessment

Identify common EI gaps or challenges among nurse leaders and teams (e.g., difficulty with empathy, poor self-regulation, communication barriers).

Explain how these gaps impact professionalism, collaboration, and patient outcomes.

1. Program Design

Outline your proposed EI program structure (e.g., workshops, coaching sessions, team-building exercises).

For each EI domain, describe at least one evidence-based activity, exercise, or strategy to build the associated competencies in nurse leaders and teams.

Include timelines, frequency, or duration of your proposed activities.
