I struggled to understand how the Golgi complex takes in, changes, and packages proteins in the cell. Study method: I found a video on YouTube that helped me visualize the function of the Golgi complex. In step 1, it receives proteins and lipids from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). In step 2, it modifies and changes the structure of the proteins and lipids. In step 3, it packages them in a vessel for delivery elsewhere.
