Capstone project proposal

Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to guide students in developing a comprehensive proposal and plan for their capstone project. Building on the Capstone Project Paragraph, students will articulate the projects details, justify its significance, and outline a clear plan for its implementation. By completing this assignment, students will demonstrate their ability to think critically and strategically, refine their research focus, and ensure the project aligns with academic and professional standards.

PART 1: PROBLEM STATEMENT

• Continue to research and refine your capstone topic and research question that you developed in class today.
• Expand and elaborate on the details of your project, justifying the need with evidence from sources.
• Explain why your project is important and relevant to the field of early childhood education. Provide more detail to support it.
• Use current, credible, and relevant sources to support your justification.

PART 2: RESEARCH QUESTION

• Develop a clear, concise question that your project seeks to answer.
• Ensure your question is specific, focused, and researchable within the scope of your capstone project.

PART 3: METHODS

• Describe how you plan to conduct your project. Be specific (who, when, where, how many, how long). Include details about the participants, tools, strategies, or resources you will use.
• Explain how your methods align with your research question and project goals.

PART 4: CONSIDERATIONS

• Describe the things you will need to consider to ensure successful implementation and completion of your capstone project.
• Describe any preparations you must make in advance to ensure successful implementation of your project.

PART 5: OUTCOMES AND OUTPUTS

• Describe what you hope will improve as a result of your project.
• Describe the deliverables you will produce as a result of your capstone project.
