Assignment 2 – Writing a Scientific Introduction

For this weeks assignment, you will write a comprehensive Introduction for your independent experimental study. The introduction must be a minimum of 2.5 pages (double- spaced, Times New Roman, 12 pt font, 1-inch margins) and should reflect the style and standards of peer-reviewed scientific papers. Your introduction must also cite at least 10 credible, peer-reviewed sources (journal articles, books, or authoritative reports). The Introduction serves as the intellectual foundation of your research. It is not simply a background section, but rather a carefully structured argument that shows why your study is needed, how it fits into the broader body of knowledge, and what specific gap or problem it addresses. The Introduction must end with a clear aim statement (and hypotheses if appropriate) that links directly to your project.
