The Effective Team This assignment assesses the following Course Outcome: MT340 -2: Recommend a process for building an effective team. You have been asked to lead a small group/team to solve a problem in your work environment. Put yourself in the role of a group leader and not a project manager. Write a paper describing how you will proceed. Discuss the process of structuration and some of the challenges that you feel that you might encounter as the group develops. Be sure to include task functions and relationships among the members. Do you feel that Gersicks two-phase model or Tuckmans model of group development is a better representation of the process that you will encounter? How will you help the group socialize and develop roles, norms, and the climate? CHECKLIST: IN A PERSUASIVE ESSAY: Recommend the process of structuration, including how roles, norms, rules, and climate develop. Analyze and describe challenges that you may experience. Analyze and describe three typical social tensions experienced by the group. Evaluate at least one other challenge to group development. Describe the five stages of group socialization. Work should demonstrate: The synthesis of concepts, research, and experience Problem-solving abilities Business decision-making abilities Make sure your persuasive essay expresses a clear purpose and point of view. Introduce your topic. Respond to the questions in this assignment providing support or evidence for your point of view or argument you are trying to make. Tell your readers what action they should take, or provide a summary of what the reader should take away from reading/learning about the topic. Format and Writing Instructions: Address the writing and format of your paper: Write your paper in a clear and articulate manner using Standard English. Ensure it is well-organized, logical, and unified and that your work is original and insightful. Your paper must be double-spaced and include at least 3 pages (minimum 800 words) of content and the title and reference page. You are required to have at least three references, one of which must be the textbook, and two quality sources from the Purdue Global Library.
