Pick an interesting case from clinical that either you or a mentor scanned. It can be abdominal, superficial structures, vascular, or ob/gyn. Put together a case study utilizing patient history (prior imaging results), signs and symptoms, images, a worksheet, and report findings. As we follow HIPAA guidelines, no patient names should be included, and you can use images from Google to show what you are discussing in your case study. In the Case Study Resources module you will find a variety of worksheets to include in your report. There are also some resources that may be helpful in putting your case study together. You can either use Word or Powerpoint and should be short and to the point. You do not have to discuss what the pathology is, as we assume that the radiologist knows what it is. Some tips: Your worksheet and findings should be what you would report to the resident or radiologist. Use sonographic terms to describe what you found. For example, echogenic focus with shadowing and twinkle effect instead of kidney stone as we are not the diagnosing party the radiologist is. You can share any technical difficulties. For example, large body habitus, gassy, unable to hold their breath, limited mobility, etc.
