Design Framework Application

For this discussion, you will use the standards based alignment framework to explain how curriculum is planned in practice. This framework is used because it reflects how curriculum is organized and implemented in Mississippi Department of Education documents.

Directions

1. Review the required articles and video posted for Module 4.
2. In your post, briefly explain the purpose of a standards based alignment framework.
3. Apply the framework by giving one short example from a specific context, such as a grade level, subject area, or program, showing how:

• standards guide what is taught, and
• instruction and assessment align to those standards.
