Conversely, globalization has also enabled the dissemination of medical knowledge and technology, enhancing diabetes diagnosis, treatment, and management worldwide (Chan et al., 2018).

These multifaceted effects of globalization on diabetes underscore the importance of considering economic, cultural, and policy dimensions in addressing its global burden.
