For this assessment, you will explore the history and current state of the United States healthcare delivery system as well as the information life cycle and various legal issues relating to confidentiality, privacy, security, and personal health information. Your handout should: Present a brief, bulleted list of the dos and donts of HIPAA, and offer a few examples. Identify and describe the databases, systems, or IT applications that are either relevant to or impacted by HIPAA. Explain how compliance and patient satisfaction can be affected, measured, and improved.
