What role does communication play in employee satisfaction or conflict resolution? What does your hiring, onboarding, and training process look like? What are your responsibilities related to HR, and how do you handle them (e.g., benefits, performance reviews, compliance, etc.)? Have you found certain motivation or leadership theories particularly useful in practice? Step 2: Choose Your Format You may choose one of the following submission formats: Option A: Written Report (12 pages) Format: Typed, double-spaced, in Word or PDF format Structure: Introduction (1 paragraph): Briefly describe the business and the person you interviewed (name, title, and business type). Human Relations & Motivation (12 paragraphs): Summarize how they foster employee motivation and relationships. Connect at least one theory from Chapter 9 (e.g., Maslow, Herzberg, McGregor, etc.) to their approach. Human Resource Management (12 paragraphs): Describe their HR responsibilities and how they manage hiring, development, or performance. Compare their approach to textbook concepts from Chapter 10. Reflection (1 paragraph): What did you learn about motivation, human relations, and HRM? How did this expand or shift your understanding of the workplace? Option B: Video Report (35 minutes) Format: Record yourself presenting the information as if you were reporting to a class or team. You may use slides or visuals, but they are not required.
