Individual #2 Supplemental Assignment

For this assignment, each student will analyze an organization with which he or she is familiar or any organization of his or her choosing. There are plenty of other organizations to analyze other than Amazon and Wal-Mart! In addition, choose an organization for which ample information and data are available. For your chosen organization,analyze the organization according to the statements listed below:

1. Examine The External Environment: Opportunities, Threats, Industry Competition, and Competitor Analysis.

2. Examine The Internal Organization: Resources, Capabilities, Core Competencies, and Competitive Advantages.

Write a 1200 to 1300 word paper where you analyze your chosen organizations external and internal capabilities. These will be based on what are your organizations external opportunities and do they have the internal human and non-human resources to take advantage of external opportunities? Be sure to point out any issues that you believe need to be addressed. Suggest possible solutions to address any issues. Your paper should be in proper APA format and should follow the Formatting & Writing Styles guide. Submit your paper to the Assignments # 2 tab on Canvas after submitting to the appropriate TurnitIn portal by the due date.

The assignment should be in an MS Word document in a formal format and should include the following:

1. Title page (It is assumed that the assignment will be in APA format).

2. New Times Roman font face type, this includes the page numbers and headers.

3. Page numbers should be in the upper right hand corner of your paper.

4. 12 pt font type size, including page numbers and headers.

5. An APA formatted reference page. If you use a website link, you should be able to find the author and a publication date.

6. Your title page should include the Assignment title, your name, the date, the class and the instructor, which is; Dr. Jimmie S. Warren, Sr. (All should be in proper APA format). Your papers should be double-spaced (See the Formatting & Writing Styles guide for properly setting the parameters in Microsoft Word for your papers).

7. (Do not use first person pronouns (I), second person (you), or some third person pronouns (we and our) when writing this assignment. See the Formatting & Writing Styles Guide document.

This assignment will be due January 25, 2026 in Week 2, by 11:59pm. Please posts to the Assignments # 2 tab on Canvas after you have submitted your final submission to the appropriate TurnitIn portal for this assignment (to check for plagiarism). Label the assignment as Supplemental Assignment # 2-BA 655-E01 when posting to TurnitIn and to the Canvas Tab. I will retrieve your Supplemental Assignment # 2 from TurnitIn.
