Scenario
As the new quality improvement manager, you are introducing Emerging Health Information Technology into the workplace to promote an integrated delivery network that will improve the quality of patient care, maximize financial performance, and increase operational efficiency. You have been approved to incorporate a new emerging health informatics technology that will support safe practice environments to improve health outcomes. You were asked by executive leadership to present this new health informatics technology to the interprofessional managers at an upcoming facility leadership retreat. During the retreat, you will present multiple times throughout the day to small groups. To facilitate this type of presentation method, you chose a poster presentation as the method of dissemination. You will create a poster presentation that you will present to your staff, which will introduce the new technology and describe how health informatics supports safe practice environments to improve health outcomes for your patients based on published evidence-based literature. You will include supporting existing research studies on emerging health informatics technology in your presentation.
Instructions
Create a tabletop poster size 36X48. The content on the poster should be organized to include:
- A summary of relevant evidence from credible resources that describes how current and emerging health informatics technology is effectively integrated into the workplace.
- Identification of one current or emerging health informatics technology that can be used to enhance patient/staff safety and improve health outcomes.
- Introduce the product you have chosen
- Justify its relevance to improving patient/staff safety and outcomes in three different and specific care settings, providing evidence from scholarly literature or case studies
- Outline a proposed plan for integrating the technology, including stakeholder engagement, training, and evaluation metrics
- Address barriers to adoption and strategies to overcome them.
- Use in-text citations and references in the correct APA style.
