Step 3: Complete the assignment making sure to meet all of the requirements for the chosen medium.
Step 4:The following questions should be answered in both a text submission in the Canvas assignment and answered in your presentation.
- Why did the author/work/literary movement inspire you? How so? Explain
- What did you create?
- How does your presentation represent the author or work? Explain in 5-8 sentences.
- Why did you select this medium/format?
- Example: If you painted something, is it because you are an Art major and played to your strengths? What made you choose to paint, compose, write, animate, etc?
- What materials did you use?
- Do the colors, sounds, objects represent anything in particular?
- Placement? Why did you place X in the center and Y to the right?
- What did you want to capture? Did you accomplish this?
- Are there any modern day examples represented in your project- examples that parallel the author/work/literary movement?
- Did the author/work/literary movement hit home with you in any way?
- For example, if you have Native American roots, does the horror of what we witness as far as the Natives strike a nerve?
Step 6: Submit the assignment on Canvas.
Option 2: Artistic Representation
- Create an original piece of art which represents one of the authors or works from the unit.
- This cannot simply be a reproduction of an image from google (i.e. no Nevermore ravens)
- Provide a written explanation answering the questions
