Individual/Group Test Critique/Presentation: Each individual or group of students will submit one test critique from a domain of testing (ex: Cognitive, Ability, Personality, Achievement, and Career). The following areas will be discussed in the critique: definition and description of the construct/topic being assessed. (ex: ADHD, autism) identifying data (test name, author(s), publisher, date of publication); general information (nature and purpose of test, grade/age appropriate levels, features, costs); technical features (validity, reliability, norms, adequacy of test manual and accessory materials); your groups personal reflection/critique of the instrument and what reviewers say about it- MMY, Tests in Print, journal articles. All references should be cited and acknowledged on a reference page. PowerPoint submitted by due date Individual/Groups will prepare a PowerPoint presentation on the test presenting the information from the critique. Individuals- research the test using publishers information (google the name of your test). Also use these resources for information on your test – Tests in Print and Mental Measurement Yearbook (can be found in the Sheppard Library) or online). Make a short PowerPoint Presentation using the guidelines and submit via Canvas (bullets above). In-class Groups- will distribute a handout of their presentation to fellow students when they present their test critique. Each student in the group must participate in their critique development and oral presentation. 50 points will be assigned to this full- class- time presentation. All students in the group will receive the same grade. Questions will be asked at the end of the presentation; there will be a loss of five points for each question not answered correctly.
